About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Airworthiness Programs Engineer to join our dynamic growing team.

Reporting to the HAAMC – Australia, the Airworthiness Programs Engineer is the Senior Person required by CASA Regulation 42ZV of the Civil Aviation regulations 1988 (CAR) responsible for the control and direction of maintenance on behalf of the AOC.

 

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertake assessments and manage the implementation of Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness for the PHI Australia Fleet including ADs, ASBs, SBs and other regulatory information.
  • Liaise with and provide support and guidance to the AMO Production Planner to ensure all maintenance required by the System of Maintenance is completed when required.
  • Monitor aircraft hours, cycles, and other information relevant to ensuring compliance with the System of Maintenance.
  • Provide support and guidance to all divisions within PHI relating to RAMCO tracking, reporting and compliance as well as maintenance, certification, and release to service requirements for the PHI Australia Fleet.
  • Monitor maintenance due, deferred maintenance including deferred defects and other information as it relates to compliance with the System of Maintenance.
  • Liaise with Technical Services to ensure completeness and accuracy of aircraft and component maintenance records.
  • Support the HAAMC with the functions of the Maintenance Review Board as required.
  • Assist with the coordination and completion of Aircraft Airworthiness Reviews in support of the HAAMC.
  • Provide advice and guidance for the development of policies and procedures specified in Company publications.

 

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Worked in rotary wing line and heavy maintenance environments.
  • Comprehensive experience writing Systems of Maintenance.
  • Sound understanding of the requirements for maintaining and modifying aircraft.
  • Experience using Computer Maintenance Management System Software.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities ensuring business prioritise are planned accordingly.
  • Understanding of Australian Aviation Legislation (CASRs, CARs, CAOs etc) related to the continuing airworthiness management of aircraft including AMP, Reliability, Airworthiness Review.
  • Experience assessing and implementing Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
  • Understanding of Human Factors in Aviation.
