About the role

The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) internship offers hands-on experience and learning opportunities for a third-year university student studying HSE-related discipline.

Working within the HSEQ department, the HSE intern will gain exposure to the aviation industry and its role in supporting the oil and gas and resources sectors.

This role will support operations across the Asia Pacific region, and will assist the team with the ongoing development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSEQ management systems and processes.

 

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist the HSEQ team with the maintenance, and continual improvement of HSEQ systems ensuring PHI work is conducted safely and in compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the delivery of HSEQ training and awareness programs.
  • Participate in safety investigations, audits, emergency exercises, and HSEQ related functions.
  • Assist HSEQ team members during operational base visits to gain practical exposure to HSEQ activities, processes, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the HSEQ Director - APAC.

 

About you:

  • Final year (third year) student in HSE related field.
  • Strong interest in HSE within aviation/oil and gas industries.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and grow.
  • Displays a high level of integrity and can develop trust and respect of their peers.
  • Flexible hours to support academic commitments.
