About the role

PHI Aviation is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Lead Supply Officer to lead our high‑performing Supply Chain team in Broome, supporting one of the most dynamic and safety‑critical areas within the aviation sector.

Reporting to the Supply and Purchasing Manager, APAC, and working closely with the Broome Base Maintenance Manager, you'll be the on‑base focal point for all supply chain activities. You’ll lead day‑to‑day stores operations, support and guide Supply Officers, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.

In this hands‑on role, you will champion accuracy in inventory management, drive stocktake and reporting activities, support internal and external audits, and play an active role in base leadership forums. You’ll also lead training and induction for new team members, help coordinate procurement and logistics activities, and support broader projects and contract implementation at the base.

This position is offered as a Monday to Friday position, residential in Broome, WA.

 

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Base focal point for the control and administration of the store and supply activity.
  • Assist Supply and Purchasing Manager with oversight and supervision of base Supply Officers.
  • Play a pivotal role in the induction and training of new Supply Officers and ensure that that training material is kept up to date.
  • Prioritise and delegate tasks to Supply Officers as required, ensuring that critical items are actioned as a matter of urgency.
  • Act as Supply Chain focal point during all audits on base – Internal, CASA, Financial and Customer audits
  • Actively participate in all base leadership meetings; ensuring that relevant messaging is further distributed to stores personnel. 
  • Ensure Supply Officer recencies and rosters are always up to date in PHI’s recency software, Air Maestro.
  • Extract all monthly reporting, distribute to appropriate representatives, and take ownership of actions at the base level.
  • Oversee all supply tasks, ensuring that they are carried out competently and conscientiously, as directed and in accordance with the requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and PHI’s Logistics Manual, System of Maintenance and Maintenance Organisation Manuals.
  • Drive the completion of all stocktake and cycle count activities and reporting in a timely manner, as directed.
  • Ensure all parts movements in and out of the store are recorded in the inventory management system (RAMCO).
  • Act as base focal point for other representatives in the Procurement team, including Purchasing, Logistics and Quality Control.
  • The Lead Supply Officer will act as the Supply Chain focal point on base and primarily undertake the ancillary responsibilities listed, however they are still required to perform all standard Supply Officer duties as operational needs dictate.

 

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Aviation experience desirable, will consider experience in logistics and procurement
  • An ability to interpret technical data correctly and apply the information to satisfactorily complete purchasing and logistics tasks
  • Relevant aircraft/product knowledge
  • A sound understanding of conformity acceptance inspections and processes
  • Experience using computerised inventory management systems
