About the role
We have an exciting opportunity due to growth within the team for a Maintenance Controller - Australia to join our dynamic and growing team. Based out of our Perth office, you will monitor aircraft hours, cycles, maintenance due and deferred maintenance.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Monitoring and recording of aircraft hours, cycles, and other information relevant to maintenance scheduling.
- Monitoring and scheduling of maintenance due and deferred maintenance actions (including deferred defects).
- Ensuring the review of Airworthiness Directives, Alert / Mandatory Service Bulletins, OEM Chapter 4 & 5 amendments, Service Bulletins, etc. for applicability and compliance.
- Plan and Control Defect rectification and unscheduled maintenance.
- Review of Airworthiness Directive / Service Bulletins and administer via the Status report Change Process.
- Monitor aircraft hours, cycles, maintenance due, deferred maintenance including deferred defects and other information as it relates to maintenance scheduled or unscheduled.
- Oversight of Scheduling, planning, supervision, and direction of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activity.
- Monitoring of the performance of contracted work and adherence to any Service Level Agreements.
- Recording and certification of maintenance activity in accordance with the relevant instructions in this Manual.
- Maintenance Recording and Tracking, and the security of the maintenance records.
- Ensuring weight control requirements are complied with in Liaison with the Weight Control Officer.
- Oversight and Liaise with Technical Department APAC via the Service Level Agreement requirements.
- Review and audit of Tech Logs and other Aircraft Documentation as required.
- Control of airworthiness administration such as:
- Review of the Master MEL, OMEL repair interval extensions and OMEL approvals to the CASA.
- Special Flight Permit application.
- Provision of maintenance control manuals to those persons requiring them.
- Assist the HAAMC with applications for approval of amendments to the Maintenance Control Manual.
- Investigation of all defects of which he/she is aware.
- Submission of major defect reports.
- Submission of amendments to the OMEL for approval by CASA or delegate of CASA.
- Liaising with CASA (or CASA Delegate) regarding C of R’s, C of A’s, Export C of A’s, etc.
- Review and update of Aircraft Systems of Maintenance (Maintenance programmes).
- Hold a LAME license or equivalent acceptable to the CASA Part 66 requirements.
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in Airworthiness Department as a HAAMC/CASA Instrumented Maintenance Controller.
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in supervisory position.
- Undertake any examination required by the CASA Director to determine competency to perform maintenance planning and control functions as per Regulation 42ZW of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 for the approval of Appointment of Person as Maintenance Controller.
