About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & HR Assistant, a newly created role within our APAC region.  Reporting to the Director of HR – APAC, you will be responsible for providing support to the Payroll and HR Teams, providing assistance and guidance around general Payroll and HR queries, delving into reporting and analytics, and providing a first-class customer service experience to our business leaders and employees alike.

This role will ideally suit someone who is just getting into the Payroll and HR environment and is the perfect role for someone who is keen to learn and take on new responsibilities. 

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Handle any Payroll queries, escalating to the payroll supervisor as required
  • Be involved within the payroll processing and compliance reviews.
  • Assist the HR Advisor/ Recruiter as required with arranging interviews and employee onboarding. 
  • Monitor and advise business leaders of employee milestones and contractual obligations.
  • Help Employees with any timesheet questions they may have.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting for our clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support and contribute to key HR projects and initiatives i.e. Enterprise Agreement Negotiations, policy/ procedure review, and improvement projects.
  • Maintain internal data, systems and process to ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, process and legislation such as contract expiry, visa expiry, fair and equitable processes.
  • Provide cover for admin tasks as required during leave, including reception.

About you:

  • Prior experience working within Payroll or HR would be beneficial. 
  • Knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Sound understanding of the employee lifecycle.
  • Intermediate/ Advanced MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Commitment to customer service and delivery
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Motivated team player, who is keen to learn and take on new responsibilities.
